10. Last but not least is the Tulip. The beauty of this flower is that it is a versatile flower and also long lasting.  It is important to also consider the month you are getting married as if it is July or August you may need to consider flowers which do not need all your attention to ensure that they do not wilt!
Of course you will need to add to your bouquet and the flowers. Popular choices include ferns, ivy, herbs, bear grass…….
 Other considerations……
For 2013 colours will be bright, fun, fresh and classy and range from apple green to Clementine Orange, Yellow, Lilacs and hot pinks, navy and baby blue to milk and dark chocolate, Khaki and gold to name but a few.  These colours work brilliantly with Italy and we would also recommend purple reds, colours which are bold, bright and dramatic. Of course the venue type needs to be considered. We have also noticed that brides want something a little more subtle and are being drawn to the whites and ivories, creams and pale vintage pinks.
You may want to consider other decorations for your bouquet or you may want to accessorize? This makes your bouquet unique and a little different from the norm? You can use diamantes which sparkle when in contact with light and by adding these to your bouquet, it gives your bouquet a touch of bling. Use pearls or feathers and white feathers are used. Use butterflies or ribbons and even lace.
There can be alternatives to bouquets just in case your budget does not allow or if you want to be a little different. For a catholic wedding we would recommend a jewelled or a white Rosary, a bridal purse, a parasol, a lace or painted fan, a horseshoe to bring the couple luck, or perhaps have your hands free and just wear some elegant gloves or hold your bridesmaid’s hand.  You may also want to consider a candy bouquet or even sea shell bouquets or even walk down the aisle with a candle.  The main thing to bear in mind is that whatever you hold in your hands as you walk down the aisle should be beautiful and meaningful to you.
